Workshop – Confident Communicators

Years 7 – 11

This one-day communication and confidence workshop is specifically designed for students in Key Stage 3 & 4. The aim of the workshop is to enhance students’ oracy skills, boost their confidence, and improve their overall communication abilities and skill set.

Through a series of interactive activities, group discussions, and individual exercises, your students will have the opportunity to develop their public speaking skills, learn how to express themselves effectively, and build their self-confidence.

The workshops will provide a supportive and encouraging environment, where students can practice their communication skills and receive feedback from experienced facilitators.

By the end of the day, students will have gained valuable knowledge and practical experience that will serve them well in all aspects of their lives, both now and in the future.

Workshop – Confident Futures

Years 11 – 13

This one-day communication and confidence workshop is tailored to help students as they prepare to take their next steps away from school. The workshop will focus on developing interview skills, enhancing oracy, and building confidence and communication abilities.

Students will engage in interactive activities and exercises that will provide practical experience in the key elements of a successful interview. They will also receive feedback and guidance from experienced facilitators on how to present themselves in the best light and communicate effectively with their interviewer.

The goal of the workshop is to equip students with the skills they need to feel confident and prepared for any interview they may face. By the end of the day, students will have gained a strong understanding of the importance of confident communication in the interview process, and they will be well equipped to make a positive impression in any interview setting.

How Will It Work In My School?

It’s all rather straightforward...You select the students that you feel would most benefit from some external support.

Tell us how many students you would like us to work with…We discuss what you wish to achieve with your workshops…We arrange a date and time to come into school and work with your students.

Student workshops are always best when delivered as part of a cohesive plan, an all-encompassing school oracy strategy and in conjunction with staff workshops… ensuring that everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet…We’re not into ticking boxes and we promise to keep the paperwork to a minimum!
How Do I Select My Students?
When selecting students to benefit from a workshop or two, you might like to consider the following:
- Which students would most benefit from this support?
- Which students are particularly shy?
- Which students do you wish you heard speak out more during lessons?
- Which students have identified careers that would require confident communication skills on a day-to-day basis?
- Do you have students preparing for Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities who need extra support preparing for interviews?
- Do you have students who are confident but need support professionalising their speaking and listening skills?
Sharing context of your school and students with us is very helpful when planning content for delivery.

Students for a workshop can be selected from one year, from one key stage, or across key stages.
How Will I Know It Is Working?

They will express their opinion in a structured way...

They will feel the impact in their lives beyond school...when they are attending interviews for further training or employment.
What Remote Options Are Available?

Webinars
If you are considering whole year group support, then our suite of one hour webinars is an available option. Confident Communication will deliver webinars via MS Teams or your preferred online client. These webinars can be delivered in normal class time to a whole year group in their respective classrooms and spread over your preferred timescale.

Virtual Workshops
If you are looking to support a smaller group of students, then our suite of one hour virtual workshops is an available option. Confident Communication will deliver workshops via MS Teams or your preferred online client. Virtual workshops require participants to be on individual devices to maximise interaction and activity.
